The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable, and enthusiastic individual to complete a Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship at Horns Drove Community Childcare as a Senior Early Years Practitioner.
At Horns Drove, we provide a pre-school setting during term time, caring for children aged 2 years up to reception age. We also operate a breakfast club for children aged 2 years and above, and an after-school club for children aged 3 to 11 years. During school holidays, we offer a holiday club for children aged 3 to 11 years.
Our pre-school provides 30 places per day for children aged 2 up to reception age. We are based in a purpose-built lodge within the grounds of Rownhams St John's Primary School and offer a wide range of activities including cooking, messy play, story and song time, play dough, sensory play, and water play. We have a large outdoor play area with a climbing frame, playhouse, sandpit, mud kitchen, and kitchen garden. Children should come dressed for mess!
We encourage children to learn about the world around them, which is enhanced by growing vegetables and nature/welly walks in the school grounds. We provide opportunities for learning through stimulating play activities, promoting development and learning in a happy, caring environment. Your child will have fun, grow in confidence, be valued, and feel secure. All 3-4 year old children will also participate in our language program, BLAST.
Each child will be allocated a key person who will observe their development throughout their time with us and keep records that will be made available to you. We will also hold key person/parent meetings during the year to discuss your child's progress and set future focus activities.
