Team Leader – Learning Disabilities Service (Supported Living)

Location: Warwick Manor or Shakespeare House, Bedford

Salary: £13.15 per hour (£25,650 per annum) plus a range of health and wellbeing benefits

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent. 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our Outstanding-rated supported living service in Bedford, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives.

About The Role

As a Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager to deliver exceptional care and support. You will:

  1. Lead and motivate a team of Support Workers to provide person-centred, high-quality care
  2. Ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently across the service
  3. Be a role model for best practice in support, safeguarding, and positive behaviour support
  4. Support the development and implementation of care plans that promote independence, choice, and dignity
  5. Take part in on-call responsibilities and support with rota management and staff supervisions
About You
  1. Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities or in a similar care environment
  2. Leadership or supervisory experience (or ready to take the next step)
  3. A proactive, can-do attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skills
  4. Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
  5. A genuine passion for supporting people to live their best lives
