  • Support and coach the team to help them reach their potential both in the shop and kitchen.
  • Assist in implementing training pathways and ensure timely training sessions.
  • Lead by example and be hands-on when necessary.
  • Assign duties based on individual productivity, skills, and responsibilities.
  • Provide regular feedback and praise to coach performance.

AMAZING SERVICE

  • Lead the Speed of Service principles.
  • Ensure the team follows the 6 Key Points of Service.
  • Follow the MBWA principles.
  • Empower the team to deliver engaging Joy of Pret activities.
  • Model the 3Bs: Be Kind, Be Honest, Be Generous, and encourage the team to do the same.
  • Ensure the Coffee Calling System is followed efficiently.
  • Ensure all Marketplace orders are prepared promptly and accurately.

DELICIOUS FOOD AND DRINK

  • Ensure the team delivers delicious food by following the 6 Key Points of Production.
  • Follow the 11-Step Production Process for safety and quality.
  • Prioritize customer needs without compromising quality or freshness.
  • Use and follow How to Cards consistently to meet Pret standards.
  • Conduct successful Line Checks and implement improvements as needed.
  • Avoid displaying Made to Sell (MTS) rejects in our Langars.
  • Continuously develop the team’s knowledge of food and coffee quality.
  • Ensure Barista Prepared Drinks are made to the highest standard by trained staff.
  • Maintain Food Safety and Health & Safety Standards for team and customer safety.
  • Monitor and record safety checks accurately.
  • Take immediate corrective actions on issues affecting customers, team, or sales.
  • Maintain a clean, safe shop environment and well-maintained equipment.
  • Apply MBWA principles to monitor standards and see the shop through customers’ eyes.
  • Report and escalate quality issues diligently.
  • Maximize sales, efficiency, and profit through the Big 4: Forecasting, Rota, Ordering, and Production.
  • Accurately carry out ordering in line with business needs.
  • Lead and follow up on Mystery Shopper requirements.
  • Maintain good stock control following the 7 Steps of Unaccounted.
  • Adhere to Pret’s Financial Standards to minimize risks and ensure safety.
  • Follow merchandising guidelines and utilize marketing effectively to boost sales.

GROWING SALES

  • Follow merchandising guidelines and leverage marketing to increase sales.
  • Support the launch of new food products successfully.
  • Promote clear and engaging communication between kitchen and FOH to meet business needs.
