Job summary

SCC is seeking a Team Leader for Goods In and Warehouse (AM Shift) in Birmingham. You will lead the Goods In and warehouse team, ensure accurate recording, stock integrity and smooth operations within the facility while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong people management, clear communication, and the ability to plan tasks, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with service desks and other teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe loading/unloading and ensure documentation is completed.
• Maintain quality control and system accuracy for customer IT equipment entering and leaving the facility.
• Maintenance checks on all mechanical handling equipment (FLT’s, PPT’s, etc.).
• Conduct regular stock counts to ensure accuracy of stockholding.
• Schedule work for the team and meet OLA/SLA targets.
• Lead the team to achieve KPIs and maximise productivity while maintaining quality.
• Deliver SLA targets and coordinate with the Service Desk to meet customer requirements.
• Deliver training on processes and procedures to ensure compliance with policies.
• Ensure staff maintain high security awareness.
• Promote continuous improvement and a professional service mindset.
• Attend Team Leader meetings and cascade information to the team.

Role purpose:

The purpose of the Goods In and Warehouse Team Leader role is to have the responsibility for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing goods are accounted for and accurately recorded to guarantee traceability and auditability. In addition to manage the storage, handling, and movement of goods within the facility. This role is crucial for maintaining an organised warehouse, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods, and supporting overall operational requirements

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the safe Loading/Unloading of all vehicles ensuring all relevant documentation is completed correctly.
  
• To ensure a high level of quality control and system accuracy on all customer IT equipment en-tering and leaving the facility.
  
• Responsible for the maintenance checks on all mechanical handling equipment (FLT’s, PPT’s etc.).
  
• Responsible for regular PI counts ensuring accuracy of all stockholding in the warehouse.
  
• Supervising a dedicated team within Recycling Services.
  
• Scheduling work for the team whilst ensuring that all OLA’s/SLA’s are achieved.
  
• Lead the team to achieve key performance indicators and targets, thereby ensuring the maxi-mum productivity of the facility, whilst maintaining efficiency and quality.
  
• To deliver SLA targets and work in tangent with the Service Desk to ensure customer require-ments and expectations are met within the operational facility.
  
• Responsible for any training programs regarding all processes and procedures, thereby ensuring total compliance to all relevant company policies such as (but not limited to) Health and Safety, Safe Systems of Work and the Traffic Management Plan.
  
• Ensure all staff maintain a high level of security awareness.
  
• To project a pro-active and positive attitude enabling continuous improvement and to maintain a friendly, professional service always to colleagues and customers alike.
  
• Attend regular Team Leader meetings and deliver team briefings to cascade information to your team
  

Skills and experience:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role (ideally in the ITAD sector) alternatively a highly moti-vated and adaptable individual who can be suitably upskilled, taking into account previous expe-rience.
• Possess a strong customer first work ethic and a continuous improvement mindset.
  
• Demonstrate excellent people management skills and the ability to motivate, develop and lead a team.
  
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  
• Possess the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in an accurate and timely manner, of-ten against deadlines.
  
• Must be able to obtain the Government and/or Police Security levels required in order to meet the operational requirements of the role (no caveats) and as per the requirements stipulated in relevant customer contracts
