Job summary

F.P.T. Industries, part of DART Aerospace, seeks a Team Leader – Fuels in Portsmouth to lead a 15–20 person production team. The role combines people management with hands-on leadership to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You’ll drive a right-first-time culture, supervise attendance, and support training while maintaining production flow and documentation in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Strong people-management and communication skills.
• Minimum A-levels, BTEC National Diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of 15–20 production employees.

• Deliver against production commitments and KPIs including delivery, quality and productivity.
• Manage attendance, sickness, holidays and day-to-day workforce requirements.

• Identify production issues and take corrective action.
• Maintain a safe, structured and engaging working environment.
• Update WIP trackers and support production documentation as required.
• Collaborate with Group Leader and wider teams to maintain production flow.

F.P.T. Industries, part of DART Aerospace, is looking for a Team Leader – Fuels to lead a team of approximately 15–20 employees within our aerospace manufacturing operation in Portsmouth.

This is a hands‑on production leadership role for someone who can combine people management, operational discipline and a strong safety and quality mindset.

You will be responsible for creating a right-first-time culture, developing your team and ensuring production commitments are achieved across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of 15–20 production employees.
• Drive a right-first-time culture focused on safety, quality and operational performance.
• Deliver against production commitments and key KPIs including delivery, quality and productivity.
• Manage attendance, sickness, holidays and day-to-day workforce requirements.
• Support employee training, development and performance objectives.
• Identify production issues and take appropriate corrective action.
• Maintain a safe, structured and engaging working environment.
• Update WIP trackers and support production documentation where required.
• Work closely with the Group Leader and wider manufacturing teams to maintain production flow.

Working Hours

Day or early shift patterns are available.

The site operates a 9-day fortnight, with every other Friday as a non‑working day.
