Our client is a leading aerospace manufacturer specialising in the design and production of safety-critical fuel systems and fuel tank solutions for both commercial and defence aerospace applications. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join their manufacturing operation in Portsmouth.

The Role

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 15-20 operatives, ensuring production targets are achieved whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency. You will play a key role in developing a positive, high-performing culture focused on continuous improvement and right-first-time manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team of 15-20 employees.
Promote a strong right-first-time manufacturing culture.
Monitor and achieve key operational KPIs including quality, productivity and delivery.
Manage team attendance, holidays and absence.
Support employee training, development and performance management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department.
Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality procedures.
Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational challenges.

About You

Essential Experience

Previous experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar leadership position.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
