Offering a competitive hourly rate, senior-level responsibility and flexible hybrid working, this role would suit an experienced DM Team Leader or Principal Planning Officer looking to combine team leadership with hands‑on involvement in complex planning applications.
Working alongside the existing Team Leader, you will support the wider Development Management function, helping to maintain performance, provide technical oversight and ensure the effective delivery of the planning service.
You will have substantial Development Management experience within a local authority, alongside the technical expertise and confidence to oversee application decisions, support colleagues and contribute to the effective running of a busy planning team.
Previous team leadership experience would be highly advantageous, as would the ability to manage complex applications while providing guidance and support to less experienced officers.
