Job summary

Belong Crewe is seeking a Team Lead to join our dementia-friendly village. You will blend hands-on care with leadership, guiding a household team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

The role is permanent, 32.5 hours per week with shifts 8:00am–3:00pm, 3:00pm–10:00pm and alternate weekends. Salary £15.45 per hour. DBS checks and pre-employment checks apply; sponsorship for UK work is not offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or working towards.
• Experience in adult social care setting.
• Experience administering medication.
• Experience leading or mentoring care colleagues.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Caring, compassionate, person-centred approach.
• Ability to work the specified shift pattern, including alternate weekends.

Working Pattern

This role is contracted to 32.5 hours per week and requires flexibility to work a combination of:

• 8:00am to 3:00pm shifts
• 3:00pm to 10:00pm shifts
• Alternate weekends, including both Saturday and Sunday

What You'll Be Doing

As a Team Lead, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of your household team, ensuring high-quality care and support is delivered at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and supporting a team of Support Workers.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent care and supporting others to be their best.

Essential

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
• Experience working within an adult social care setting.
• Experience administering medication.
• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring care colleagues.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach.
• Ability to work the required shift pattern, including alternate weekends.

Desirable

• Experience supporting older people living with dementia.
• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or similar role.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and best practice within care services.
