Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in the UK is seeking a Residential Team Leader for Children’s Services to lead a dedicated care team and ensure high‑quality support for children and young people.

You will oversee daily operations, supervise staff rotas and training, uphold safeguarding standards, and foster a safe, nurturing home while building partnerships with families and external agencies.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience in supervisory/leadership role within children's residential services.
  • Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Residential Support Workers.
  • Ensure the home operates in compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a child-centred approach focusing on welfare, development, and safety.
  • Support children in achieving personal goals and life skills.
  • Oversee planning and delivery of individual care plans.
  • Manage staff rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and training for the team.
  • Handle safeguarding concerns and ensure incidents are recorded/reported.
  • Build positive relationships with external agencies, families, and the local community.

About the Role:

As a Residential Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the residential home, supporting a team of care staff to deliver high-quality care to children and young people. You will play a pivotal role in promoting a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where every child feels valued and empowered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Residential Support Workers.
