Job Description:

Team Leader Children’s Residential (interim up to 9 months)

UK Manual Driving Licence Essential plus previous experience (min 2 years) supporting young people is required for this role

We are looking to recruit experienced candidates to lead a team supporting children and young people in a residential home setting. Residential support roles require long day shifts with the ability to do sleep-ins at the home overnight.

ROC Northwest holds an envious reputation offering high quality residential care and education for children and young people with adverse childhood experiences and who may also be living with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties and complex needs.


What is the role?

Your role as Team Leader is to assist and support the managers where needed, ensuring the smooth running of the shift, assigning specific tasks to the support workers and monitoring their completion. You will support our children to maintain and develop relationships with friends and family, encourage them to integrate with the local community by attending clubs and leisure activities and to support the children in all aspects of their daily living. You will safeguard vulnerable children and report any suspicion or evidence of harm and when the children are not in the service you will undertake housekeeping and maintain standards of hygiene within the home ensuring your team perform their duties to the highest standards.

What do we look for?

  • Level 3 in Children's Residential Care
  • Minimum of 2 Years working in a residential setting
  • Experience of leading a team

  • Able to work long days and complete sleep-ins
