Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader - Casework to join the Hampshire & Isle of Wight team. This is a hybrid role working 37.5 hours a week.

Location: Southampton Central Police Station, Southern Rd, Southampton SO15 1AN

Details:

  • Full time, 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 7.5-hour shifts, between 8am and 8pm
  • Salary: £29,580/year
  • Contract: Permanent
  • DBS and police vetting required
  • Closing date: 25/11/2024

About the role:

This hybrid role involves home working twice a week, with travel to offices in Basingstoke and Southampton, with expenses paid. As a Team Leader, your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring delivery of excellent services to victims of crime and managing operational staff
  • Collaborating with management to develop the service and maximize positive outcomes
  • Promoting the service and working with professionals to improve access and quality

Requirements:

  • Understanding of the criminal justice system and its impact on victims and witnesses
  • Knowledge of legislation related to equal opportunities, diversity, safeguarding, and risk assessment
  • Experience with confidentiality, data protection, and record-keeping
  • Experience working in a challenging environment with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to provide crisis management and support in stressful situations
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle (or willingness to explore alternative arrangements if unable to drive)
