CJP Outreach Services are recruiting for an experienced team leader to oversee a package in Weston-Super-Mare. The ideal candidate will have a background in supporting individuals with complex mental health needs, such as psychosis, bipolar disorder, and autism. Experience in community settings, like supported living or residential care, is preferred. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be advantageous.

You will lead a team supporting a friendly, humorous gentleman who enjoys activities like crazy golf, amusement arcades, board games, beach strolls, pool, and visiting the pub. The support is provided on a 2:1 basis in his own home.

As team leader, your responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring policy compliance, and working with the Registered Manager and Case Manager to maintain standards and promote wellbeing.

Attendance at Bristol for management meetings and training is expected.

We seek someone who is fun, upbeat, bubbly, calm, relaxed, and resilient.

Key Duties:

  • Prioritize the individual's preferences to promote wellbeing.
  • Implement PBS strategies to enhance quality of life and reduce concerning behaviors.
  • Collaborate with the individual to develop and follow support plans.
  • Organize and coordinate support delivery.
  • Supervise staff to ensure an efficient, improvement-focused team.
  • Protect the welfare and rights of the individual, fostering effective team relationships.
  • Audit medication, support, and finance procedures; suggest improvements.
  • Complete assessments, support plans, and documentation per standards.
  • Engage in training and supervise staff development.
  • Work with colleagues, family, external professionals, and agencies for holistic care.
  • Participate in out-of-hours support and training sessions.
  • Occasional sleep-in duties and weekend hours are required.
  • Conduct inductions for new staff.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of PBS frameworks is a plus.
