Job summary

Leonard Cheshire in Rustington (St Bridget’s) seeks a Team Leader to guide a compassionate care team in delivering person‑centred services. You’ll organise rotas, supervise staff, and support ongoing training to ensure excellent resident care.

The role involves hands‑on duties during shifts and coordinating with families and healthcare professionals while maintaining high standards of record‑keeping and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within a care setting.
• A relevant qualification (NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent).
• Good communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work flexibly and take part in the on-call rota.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
• Organise rotas and ensure the right staffing levels at all times.
• Support with training, development, and supervision of staff.
• Work alongside customers to achieve their goals and promote independence.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
• Step in to provide hands‑on care and administer medication when needed.

In the seaside village of Rustington in West Sussex, St Bridget’s is home for 38 physically disabled adults. Our service feels like family – relaxed, supportive, and centred around the people who live here. Every day brings new moments to celebrate: from small wins in independence to big laughs over mealtimes.

This position offers two Team Leaders part-time hours, ideally looking for someone with flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends as part of a rota, supporting the team during times of sickness and annual leave.

Shifts that require covering:

Week 1 (8pm - 8am) - Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2 (8pm - 8am) - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday
