Job summary

Resicare Alliance Ltd seeks a Team Leader for a children’s residential home to guide and support a team of Residential Support Workers in delivering safe, nurturing, child-centred care. You’ll supervise, mentor staff and contribute to recruitment, care planning and safeguarding.

You will work closely with the Deputy and Registered Manager, uphold professional standards, and foster strong relationships with families and social workers to improve outcomes for children.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS check valid for working with children and young people.
• Genuine motivation to work with children and make a positive difference.
• Ability to lead, supervise and motivate a team while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Willingness to learn, develop professionally and support staff development.
• Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Are you ready to take the next step into leadership within residential childcare? We're looking for a Team Leader to help lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers, delivering safe, nurturing, child-centred care to children and young people in our residential home.

About the Role of Team Leader, Children's Residential

As Team Leader, you'll work alongside the Deputy and Registered Manager, guiding your team to meet the complex needs of children and helping them build resilience, form positive relationships, and achieve their individual potential. Every interaction is a chance to provide stability, encouragement and positive role modelling for children and staff alike.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

Essential:
