Turning Point UK is seeking a Team Leader to manage a service supporting individuals experiencing mental health crises. This role involves supervision, service development, and ensuring quality outcomes. The successful candidate will work as a part of a team based at Haven House Crisis House in Mapperley Nottingham.
We are a 6-bed mixed house service supporting up to 6 individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
As Team Leader, you will support the development of this service, provide line management to the team, and enable the service to meet and exceed outcomes and quality standards that promote independence, self-management, and resilience for the individuals we support. You will assist the team in processing referrals and ensuring service quality.
A background in coordinating in environments supporting vulnerable people is essential. Experience in service planning and ensuring contractual requirements are met would be advantageous.
You will also have experience working with people with mental health needs. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, shifts, and be part of an on-call rota is required. You will have line management responsibility for up to 8 Recovery and Peer Support Workers.
You should have a good understanding of the challenges faced by people with mental health difficulties and complex needs.
Experience in supervising a team and working towards individual and team objectives is necessary.
Ability to work in a recovery-oriented, person-centred, and non-judgemental manner is essential.
Proven experience managing incidents of verbal and physical aggression is required.
You should be prepared to be on call for multiple services simultaneously.
Working 80% on rota is expected.
