Job summary

Westerton Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Team Leader to lead shifts, supervise staff and coordinate care to ensure safe, high‑quality, person‑centred support for 106 residents.

You will work with the nursing and management team to maintain standards, support compliance, oversee care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management, and contribute to audits and improvements.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care required.
• Medication administration training with competency.
• Experience leading or supporting a care team.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Caring, compassionate and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and supervise care staff to ensure safe, high-quality delivery.
• Coordinate care delivery and oversee care planning and documentation.
• Oversee medication administration and risk management in line with regs.

Job description

Our modern care home provides the highest quality of Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 106-residents. Team Leader Contract £15.00 per hour Contracted to up to 44 hours per week Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day to day leadership and delivery of care within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high quality and person centred support at all times. Working alongside the nursing and management team, you will help maintain standards, support compliance and ensure best practice is consistently followed. You will lead shifts, supervise and support care staff, and take responsibility for the coordination of care delivery. This includes overseeing care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management, ensuring all practices align with regulatory requirements and organisational standards. You will act as a role model within
team, promoting positive working practices, supporting staff development and ensuring a culture of respect, dignity and accountability. You will also contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement, helping to maintain a well run and high performing service.
