Job summary

ASDA in Launceston is seeking a Team Leader to drive daily store operations and lead a team of colleagues to deliver great customer service. The role covers replenishment, checkouts, grocery, or fresh sections, with a focus on keeping shelves stocked, standards high, and customers happy.

You'll coach and motivate your team, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and use data to support decision-making. The position is part-time (25 hours per week) with days shifts and permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Natural leader with a proven ability to coach and motivate others in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Hands-on approach with a strong focus on delivering great customer service.

Our stores operate 24/7 across our Supermarkets, Superstores, and Asda Express locations, offering a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in driving the success of your area, leading a team of colleagues to deliver excellent service and ensure the smooth running of daily operations. You’ll be responsible for managing your section efficiently—whether that’s replenishment, checkouts, grocery, or fresh food—making sure shelves are stocked, standards are high, and customers are happy. You’ll support your team to meet targets, solve problems, and create a welcoming store environment.

About You

You’re a natural leader who thrives in a busy retail setting. You’ll be confident in coaching and motivating others, with a hands‑on approach and a passion for delivering great customer service. You’ll be flexible, adaptable, and ready to take on new challenges across different store formats—including our growing Asda Express locations. You’ll also be comfortable using data and insight to make decisions, and you’ll take pride in helping your team grow and succeed.
