Job description

Job Description

Based at Angus House, Orchardbank Business Park, Forfar.

This job follows Workstyle 5 - Hybrid+.

You will benefit from our flexible and agile working practices, combining work from home and time in council buildings to suit your work, meetings, and collaboration needs.

Angus Council invites applications from talented, adaptable, and enthusiastic candidates to lead our property Estates Team.

Following the retirement of the previous post holder, an exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a degree-qualified Estates team leader. Consideration will be given to candidates who are not currently fully qualified but can undertake progression to full MRICS status on a structured career grade basis.

For candidates not fully qualified, it is essential to have some experience in corporate management of land and properties, including acquisition, disposal, leases, rent review, and professional advice/policy to senior management.

This role offers the opportunity to join a talented, supportive, and welcoming team, along with a competitive salary and benefits of working for a public sector organization, including entry to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

Angus Council is committed to flexible working, and equipment will be provided to support working from home. We seek applicants with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively as a key team member.

The workload will be varied, challenging, and interesting. You will be supported in a collegiate environment and encouraged to develop a full range of estates management and team leadership skills to advance your career with us.

For further information or to arrange an informal chat, please contact Ian Cochrane via email.

Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 21 July 2025.
