Highgate Care is seeking a Team Leader to join Beechwood Care Centre in Bridlington. This permanent full-time role invites you to lead a compassionate team and ensure high standards of resident care.

You will coordinate care plans, supervise staff, administer medicines, and work with management to create a warm, safe, and respectful home for residents. If you are warm, organised, and motivated to improve the lives of older people, this is a rewarding opportunity with ongoing training and support.

Qualifications

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification required.
  • Experience leading a care team is essential.
  • Passion for improving lives of older people.
  • Willingness to cover some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a care team to ensure efficient home operations.
  • Oversee resident care in absence of managers.
  • Assess residents' needs and maintain care plans.
  • Administer medicines and maintain records.
  • Maintain bi-annual care plan reviews.
  • Uphold integrity in residents' personal and financial affairs.

We're currently looking for a Team Leader to join the team at Beechwood Care centre in Bridlington. If you're someone who naturally brings warmth, energy and creativity wherever you go, and you love the idea of making each day meaningful for our residents, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Ensure that all Staff Members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home, and to the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of Residents.
  • Take responsibility for Resident care, as designated by the Home Manager in his / her absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager.
  • Assess social and health care needs of new Residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other Residents.
  • Report any ill-health amongst Residents and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary.
  • Ensure meals are of sufficient quantity and good quality, and that Resident's dietary needs are met.
  • Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with the Company's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Resident within the Home has an individualised Care Plan. Resident Care Plans to be reviewed on a bi-annual basis, or more frequently as and when required, in line with the Company's policies and procedures
  • Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Residents' personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship that exists with Residents.
