Job summary

Highgate Care Services Ltd is seeking a Team Leader for Beechwood Care Centre in Bridlington. This permanent, full-time role focuses on guiding a compassionate team to deliver person-centred care and maintain high standards across daily operations.

You will oversee resident care, coordinate staff, and ensure accurate records and care plans are kept up to date, while promoting dignity and kindness in every interaction.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong leadership and people-management abilities.
  • Experience leading a care team and ensuring high standards of care.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team to ensure efficient operation of the Home and a positive resident atmosphere.
  • Oversee resident care and liaise with Home Manager in absence of Deputy Manager.
  • Assess residents' care needs and maintain ongoing assessments and care plans.
  • Ensure meals meet dietary needs; administer medicines per policy.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure care plans are reviewed bi-annually.

We’re currently looking for a Team Leader to join the team atBeechwood Care centre in Bridlington. If you’re someone who naturally brings warmth, energy and creativity wherever you go, and you love the idea of making each day meaningful for our residents, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

As our Team Leader, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of residents by:

  • Ensure that all Staff Members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home, and to the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of Residents.
  • Take responsibility for Resident care, as designated by the Home Manager in his / her absence and the absence of the Deputy Home Manager.
  • Assess social and health care needs of new Residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other Residents.
  • Report any ill-health amongst Residents and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary.
  • Ensure meals are of sufficient quantity and good quality, and that Resident’s dietary needs are met.
  • Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Resident within the Home has an individualised Care Plan. Resident Care Plans to be reviewed on a bi-annual basis, or more frequently as and when required, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Practice maximum integrity in all dealings with Residents’ personal and financial affairs and avoid abuse of the privileged relationship that exists with Residents.

  • NVQ level 3 (or willing to work towards this)
