Job summary

Rubislaw Park Care Home in Aberdeen's West End is seeking an experienced Team Leader to oversee day-to-day care delivery for up to 86 residents. You will guide shifts, support clinical governance and ensure high quality, person-centred care at all times.

You will lead shifts, supervise care staff, manage care planning, medication administration and risk management in line with regulatory standards, while promoting a culture of respect and accountability across the team.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Medication administration training with competency.
• Experience leading or supporting a care team.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• A caring, compassionate and professional approach.

Responsibilities

Care and Support - Rubislaw Park Care Home

Contract: Full Time

Shift Type: Days & Nights Available

Contracted hours: 44 hours

We are an award-winning care home and nursing facility, based in Aberdeen’s West End. We deliver exceptional levels of Residential, Nursing, Dementia & Respite care for up to 86-residents.

• £15.00 per hour
• Contracted to 44 hours per week
• Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Team Leader, you will play a key role in the day to day leadership and delivery of care within the home, ensuring residents receive safe, high quality and person centred support at all times. Working alongside the nursing and management team, you will help maintain standards, support compliance and ensure best practice is consistently followed.

You will lead shifts, supervise and support care staff, and take responsibility for the coordination of care delivery. This includes overseeing care planning, medication administration, documentation and risk management, ensuring all practices align with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.

You will act as a role model within the team, promoting positive working practices, supporting staff development and ensuring a culture of respect, dignity and accountability. You will also contribute to audits, reviews and continuous improvement, helping to maintain a well run and high performing service.
