Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Team Leader to support the Facility Manager with supervision of people, equipment and processes on site. The role requires strong poultry stockmanship, welfare knowledge, and a drive to meet KPIs while maintaining biosecurity and safety standards.

Successful candidates will demonstrate organization, ownership and excellent communication to build strong colleague relations and ensure smooth flock management and timely feed changes.

• Experience in supervising teams or shifts is preferred.
• Ability to respond to changing priorities and re-prioritize tasks.
• Willingness to take ownership of duties and drive outcomes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across teams.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor and ability to build working relationships.
• Proficient with basic IT systems and tools.
• Valid driving licence is required.

Job Details

The role of the team leader is to support the Facility manager through effective supervision of people, equipment and processes on a Facility whilst carrying out first class Poultry Stockmanship. The Team Leader position drives positive behaviours and procedures through the Team Members. A team Leader needs to demonstrate a high standard of animal husbandry including knowledge of animal welfare and biosecurity. The Team Lead drives performance and standards within their team. This will include: hitting farm KPIs, maintaining Biosecurity and welfare standards, ensuring safety standards remain high whilst ensuring PPE is available and used, ensuring all aspects of flock management run smoothly and feed changes etc happen on time.
