More about the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust's (Eastern) Elective Orthopaedic service as a Band 6 Team Lead Physiotherapist. Although part of the Physiotherapy service, this position is based at the South-West Ambulatory Orthopaedic Centre (SWAOC) at the Nightingale Hospital.
This 37.5-hour/week position (fixed term for 12 months) involves managing a clinical caseload of complex patients across the Orthopaedic unit, ensuring assessment and treatment from pre-assessment and prehab to post-operative assessment and rehabilitation, facilitating a rapid flow of patients and timely follow-up.
The post-holder will supervise the Physiotherapy team, communicate rehabilitation processes to patients and relatives, and monitor therapy performance and outcomes. They will also assist in training and developing less experienced staff, students, and other professionals, contributing to a safe, effective, evidence-based service.
Working Pattern: Up to 37.5 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays, with hours between 8 am and 8 pm. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.
