This is a permanent, part-time position of 18.5 hours per week.

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

There will be training and mentoring offered. It is essential that you have a Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy and that you are currently registered with the HCPC. You are expected to be working towards masters level post graduate qualifications. Community experience would be beneficial. Car driver essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Lead Physiotherapist position within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) based in Inverclyde Royal Hospital, Skylark Centre. This is a driven and dynamic team who are keen to stay up to date with all local and national strategies engaging with stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for all. You will assist the Service Manager and Professional Lead Physiotherapist in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Physiotherapy service for children and young people with physical disabilities and complex needs within health, educational and social settings. You will be responsible for leadership in planning and implementing best practice and evidence-based practice, clinical governance, and quality assurance across the designated managed service area including dealing with complaints. As an experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist you will demonstrate in-depth practical and theoretical knowledge of clinical governance issues including risk management, evidence based theory and practice, audit and research methodology. You will demonstrate highly specialist clinical knowledge of highly complex paediatric conditions and an understanding of the rational and evidence base for treatment strategies and will provide comprehensive specialised assessment, treatment and management to children and young people who have complex clinical conditions including general developmental delay, disorder of movement, disability or illness which may be impaired, controlled or alleviated by physiotherapeutic skills and or the use of specialised equipment. You will have a clinical caseload and will ensure the delivery of safe, effective patient care for children and young people referred to our service.
