Team Lead Firmware Engineer – Remote (Northern Ireland)!

Are you an experienced firmware software engineer ready to take the lead on something truly impactful?

We’re working with one of Ireland’s most well-funded and forward-thinking technology companies. With €20 million in new funding raised in 2024 and a strong international presence, they’re now growing rapidly, and building a new generation of smart, connected hardware products to improve safety and performance across key industries.

This is a greenfield project, and you’ll be the first firmware engineer on the ground. You’ll play a key role in setting the direction of the firmware function building from scratch, working closely with the CTO, and laying the foundation for a high-performing embedded team.

The role is fully remote, so it’s open to engineers based in Northern Ireland

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the end-to-end firmware development for a brand-new industrial tech product
• Design and build robust embedded firmware using C/C++ and Embedded Linux
• Work across teams collaborating closely with hardware, software, and product teams
• Define architecture, processes, and help scale the team over time

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in embedded systems development (C/C++)
• Strong hands-on experience with Embedded Linux
• Exposure to video, imaging, or signal processing systems
• Experience with SoCs, IoT, or low-power hardware
