Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Training Administrator to provide cost-effective training services to managers and staff across the joint venture training team. You will be motivated to complete tasks, arrange delegates, and ensure full compliancy by updating personal files with qualification copies.

You will coordinate training bookings, raise POs, manage invoices, liaise with providers, and maintain comprehensive training records while supporting sustainability and zero-harm initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in records.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • A full driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administration support for training activities within the Joint venture Training Team.
  • Ensure training is booked and delivered by L&D administrators and maintain records.
  • Raise POs, receipting orders and resolve invoice queries.
  • Coordinate CITB levy/claim with BB and liaise with training providers.
  • Book venues and manage training database records and reports.
  • Monitor qualification expiry dates and ensure renewals are timely.
  • Contribute to ongoing system improvements for compliance and reporting.

About the role

In this role, you will provide a cost-effective training service to managers and staff to ensure that all employees have the necessary skills and certificates to carry out their roles. You will be motivated as a team member to attain various objectives, to be able to complete reasonable tasks for training, motivating employees to attend training and gain competencies. You will need to work with all Departments making the necessary arrangements for the delegates to attend training, to keep all records updated to help them obtain full compliancy. You will be required to update delegates personal files with qualification copies.

What you'll be doing
  • To work as part of the Joint venture Training Team providing effective and timely administration in support of the training activities.
  • To ensure that the L& D administrators efficiently and effectively ensure that the relevant training is booked and delivered.
  • To complete all personal training as appropriate and required.
  • Raising PO’s, receipting orders and resolving invoice queries
  • Co-ordinate and administer CITB levy/claim with BB.
  • Liaise with internal and external Training Providers.
  • Book training venues when required.
  • Update, develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive training records.
  • Develop as a primary user for administering/managing the Training Database Records
  • Extract, consolidate and manipulate learning and development data for regular reports and on request.
  • Be able to respond to other Training Department requirements.
  • Monitor qualification expiry dates to ensure that renewals take place in good time
  • Continue to develop and improve current systems to ensure on-going compliance on qualifications, to meet industry standards/regulations.
