Job summary

University of Leicester is seeking a Lecturer (Teaching Focused) to join Leicester Medical School on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role centers on leading anatomy and physiology teaching within the A199 Medicine with Foundation Year programme and contributing to the MBChB curriculum.

You will plan, deliver and evaluate teaching, respond to student feedback, support student development, and engage in outreach and admissions activities while representing the School externally on committees

Qualifications

PhD in a relevant discipline or MBChB/medical degree.
Experience teaching and assessing undergraduate students, ideally in medical education.
Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology with proven teaching and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

Lead anatomy and physiology teaching within the A199 Medicine with Foundation Year programme.
Co-lead the Year 1 Musculoskeletal System Unit within MBChB.
Act as Examination lead for the Integrated Understanding Practical Assessment (IUPA).
Plan, deliver and evaluate teaching; respond to student feedback and support learning experiences.
Contribute to student support, employability and outreach activities, open days and admissions processes.
Represent the School on external committees, reviews and panels.
