Job Title: Teaching Assistant – SEN (Primary)
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £16,500 – £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Term-time only (39 weeks)
Start Date: September 2025
Are you compassionate, resilient, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a Primary SEN School in Aylesbury.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in helping our pupils thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs
Work closely with class teachers, therapists, and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Use strategies such as visual aids, sensory tools, and structured routines to support pupil engagement
Assist with personal care, where required
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Has experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting)
Is patient, empathetic, and calm under pressure
Understands the importance of structure, routine, and differentiated learning
Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or similar) or is willing to undertake training
Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
A warm and welcoming school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
