Job summary

Education at Ivy Resource Group is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 at a Stroud-based Alternative Provision. You will work closely with teachers to guide learners, build confidence and foster positive relationships throughout the school day.

The role involves one-to-one and small group support, alongside assisting with off-site activities and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Location: Stroud

Salary: £95 - £120 per day + Holiday Pay (Holiday Pay - 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot)

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming Alternative Provision in Stroud. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who benefit from additional guidance, encouragement, and tailored support throughout the school day.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to help students engage with learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships. Every day is different, making this an ideal role for someone who is adaptable, resilient, and committed to supporting young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Support KS3 and KS4 students throughout the school day, both in and out of the classroom.

Requirements

• At least 30 days' experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
• Experience supporting students with additional needs or challenging behaviour is desirable.
• No formal qualifications are required-your experience, enthusiasm, and commitment are what matter most.
• A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
