Job summary

Education at Ivy Resource Group in Cheltenham are recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support Key Stage 3 and 4 students in secondary schools.

You will provide 1:1 and small‑group help, promote positive behaviour, liaise with staff and parents, and help pupils access learning. The role is full-time/long-term with competitive daily pay (£90–£115) and holiday pay entitlements. Previous school experience is valued, formal qualifications are not required.

Qualifications

• At least 30 days' experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
• Experience supporting students with additional needs or challenging behaviour is desirable.
• No formal qualifications are required-your experience, enthusiasm, and commitment are what matter most.
• A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Salary: £90 - £115 per day (Holiday Pay - 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot)

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in a Secondary Schools in Cheltenham. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who will benefit from additional guidance, encouragement, and tailored support throughout the school day.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to help students engage with learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships. Every day is different, making this an ideal role for someone who is adaptable, resilient, and committed to supporting young people.
