Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment in Liverpool is seeking aTeaching Assistant for a primary school in the L4 area, starting September 2026 for a long-term agency role during term time only.

You will work alongside teachers to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally, delivering engaging lessons and providing 1:1 or small group support as needed. DBS enhanced disclosure is required or applied for with full support from Axcis.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in school, nursery, childcare, youth work or similar setting is desirable but not essential.
• Careful, patient and passionate about supporting young learners.

The Role

• Have experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare, youth work or similar setting (desirable but not essential)
• Are caring, patient and passionate about supporting young learners
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Are proactive, adaptable and able to use their own initiative
• Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one (full support provided)
