Job summary

Lotus Recruitment Ltd and a specialist independent school in Kingston upon Thames are seeking up to 5 Teaching Assistants for immediate start. You will support pupils aged 12 to 14 in classroom and small group settings, helping with learning activities and offering extra support for diverse needs.

Experience in schools, care, youth work or similar, a patient and nurturing approach, and strong communication are valued.

Teaching Assistants Required - Immediate Start

Location: Kingston upon thames
Salary: £95-£110
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

Lotus Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist independent school and is looking to appoint up to 5 Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and dedicated team.

We are keen to hear from experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Youth Workers, Support Workers, graduates, or individuals with transferable skills who are passionate about supporting young people in Years 8 and 9.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of students who may require additional support with their learning, communication, social development, or emotional wellbeing.

The Role

• Supporting students aged 12 to 14 in both classroom and small group settings (They also have a Primary section if you prefer)
• Assisting with learning activities to help pupils engage and achieve their potential
• Providing additional support to students with a range of additional needs
• Building positive relationships and promoting confidence and independence
• Working closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment

• Previous experience working with children or young people in schools, colleges, care, youth work, coaching, residential settings, or similar environments
• A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
