Job summary

Aim High Academy Trust is seeking a committed teaching assistant to support learning with a strong focus on SEND (ASD) needs. The role involves assisting teaching staff, participating in school life, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver an inclusive curriculum.

The post requires a Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent and a flexible, proactive approach within a supportive school team. The contract is fixed term and linked to EHCP funding, ending when funding ends.

Qualifications

• Outstanding practitioner with high expectations for all children with a focus on SEND needs.
• Proficient in supporting delivery of teaching and learning with a specific SEND focus.
• Effective communicator and able to collaborate with colleagues.
• Willing to be involved in the corporate life of the school and support both formal and informal curriculum.
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of teaching and learning with emphasis on SEND (ASD).
• Collaborate with colleagues to support classroom practice and curriculum delivery.

Job description

The Headteacher envisages this fixed term contract to end on 31st August 2029 however it is linked to EHCP funding and if the child moves then the funding will move and therefore this contract will terminate from the date the funding ends.

The governors and Headteacher are seeking to appoint a committed, flexible and highly motivated person to be part of our school team.
