Job summary

Walton Holymoorside Primary School is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support learning for children with SEND in Year 1. The role is mornings only, working with individual pupils and contributing to a warm, inclusive classroom environment.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with a nurturing approach, able to adapt learning materials and work well within a team to help pupils achieve their personal best.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with SEND.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible, positive, caring and nurturing approach.
• Visits to the school are welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual children with SEND and EHCPs.
• Prepare learning materials and adapt teaching support according to pupils' needs.
• Look after children's welfare and perform basic first aid duties.
• Promote inclusion and uphold the school's values and ethos.
• Use initiative to assess and evaluate pupils' needs.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who is able to support the learning of children with SEND. This role is mornings only, working in Year 1.

They will:
