Job summary

CER Education is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils in primary schools in the Malton / Pickering area. This role is suitable for someone with SEN experience and a passion for helping children reach their potential, often working on a 1 to 1 basis with individual students.

The position starts in September 2026 and could lead to permanent opportunities for the right candidate. The successful applicant will need strong interpersonal skills to communicate with staff and students

I am working exclusively with a large trust within the Malton / Pickering area, that are looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA) to help support students in their primary schools. The role is working on a 1 to 1 basis, working with students with SEN needs. The role starts in September2026 and will run until the Christmasbreakin the first instance. They will look to offer permanent positions, depending on staff suitability.

It is essential that you have experience working with children or young adults, within the SEN or care sector.

To be considered for this position of Teaching Assistant (TA) / Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you must have:

• Experience of group management of school-aged children;
• Shown commitment to learning and development of pupils;
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and students.
