Location: Grantham
Salary Range: £85 - £100 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: ASAP
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting a committed Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a warm and inclusive primary or secondary school in Grantham. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a passion for education and a desire to gain valuable in-class experience—whether you're an aspiring teacher, recent graduate, or experienced classroom assistant.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching staff and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. You will work collaboratively within the classroom, providing tailored support to pupils, whether one-to-one, in small groups, or across the whole class, depending on needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN and EAL.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation across the curriculum.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
  • Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Undertake administrative tasks and prepare classroom resources as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Ideally possess a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (not essential if experienced).
  • Previous experience supporting children in an educational, care, or youth setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a nurturing approach.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and meet individual pupil needs.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting inclusive education.
  • Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
