Job summary

Palladian Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Speech and Language) to support children across its Wiltshire primary schools. This role focuses on helping pupils access learning and develop communication skills under supervision.

You will work with teachers, SENDCos and SLT to deliver targeted interventions, contributing to an inclusive, collaborative learning environment. Term-time position with a fixed end date.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3 qualification, or relevant experience.

Hours Available: 19.5 over 3 days

Term time only working 38.2 weeks including 1 Trust Development Day and 1 INSET.

Salary: £11,359 actual

Location: Across Palladian Academy Trust Primary Schools in Wiltshire

Palladian Academy Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant to join our Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to help children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to thrive both in school and beyond.

Working across our primary schools, you will play a vital role in supporting children to access learning, participate fully in school life, and achieve their individual potential.

You will work closely with teachers, SENDCos, Speech and Language Therapists, our dedicated Speech and Language HLTA, and the Palladian School Improvement Team to deliver targeted interventions and provide high-quality support.

Essential Requirements

  • GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 or 3 qualification, or relevant experience.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A patient, nurturing and flexible approach.
