Job summary

Hays Education in Birmingham is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS to KS2 in Sparkbrook (B11) from September 2026. Roles are available full-time or part-time with potential for long-term and permanent positions.

You will work closely with teachers, support learning, run small groups, provide one-to-one help, and help create an inclusive, positive learning environment. A TA qualification (Level 2/3, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent) is preferred.

Your new role

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom. Responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Working with small groups to reinforce learning
• Providing one-to-one support where needed
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and independence
• Assisting with classroom preparation and daily routines
