Job summary

Polaris Education – The Olive Frances School in Banbury is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing community. The role supports one pupil or a small group, assists teachers, and contributes to a positive learning environment at a school that serves students aged 5 to 18 with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Strong GCSE results in English and Maths required.
• Experience as a Teaching Assistant preferred.
• Experience with SEMH in education advantageous.
• Willing to DBS check and drive with own transport.
• Willing to take additional school responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support one pupil or small group during lessons.
• Assist the class teacher during lessons.
• Report on pupil progress and liaise with staff.
• Supervise pupils during non-class time and trips.
• Help with lesson planning and classroom prep.
• Set work and mark where appropriate.
• Build positive relationships to drive learning outcomes.
