32.50 hours per week -Working Hours: 8.30am-3.30pm

Chaddesley Corbett Endowed Primary School is a 1 form entry primary school situated in the semi-rural village of Chaddesley Corbett. With large outdoor grounds, our school provides a nurturing and enriching environment for our pupils to thrive.

Teaching Assistant (SEND) - TA1

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team and support a student with special educational needs. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies, foster the student's independence and social-emotional well-being, and ensure their active participation and progress in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies that cater to the child's specific needs and abilities.
  • Support the student with learning, daily routines, emotional regulation, and social interactions to foster their independence and social-emotional well-being.
  • Use structured interventions to enhance the child's learning and engagement in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt and differentiate lesson plans and resources to ensure the child can actively participate and make progress.
  • Monitor the child's progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO to inform future planning and support.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Arelevant qualification in teaching, learning support, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with the student, teachers, and parents.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting the unique needs of the child.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
