Job summary

Academics, a teaching agency, is seeking dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants (TA) or Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to support in primary schools in Worksop with SEN on longer-term fixed-term roles. Both full- and part-time positions are available for the right candidate.

Ideal candidates will assist in delivering lessons, support SEN students 1:1 or in small groups, and help create an inclusive, supportive classroom where every child can thrive socially and academically.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is desirable but not essential.
  • Working with children with educational healthcare plans is beneficial.
  • Compassionate, patient and positive approach to working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
  • Assist students with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Promote an inclusive environment where all students feel confident and supported.
