Job summary

GSL Education are recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant at a welcoming specialist school in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. You will support pupils across the school, helping them to engage with learning, develop confidence, independence and social skills, and build positive relationships with peers and staff.

The role may involve 1:1 or small-group support with tailored assistance to meet individual needs. Start date ASAP; term-time only; salary £92-£110 per day.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or behavioural needs is advantageous.
  • A patient, caring and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

  • You will be supporting pupils across the school, helping them to engage with learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills.
