Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is assisting a welcoming Tameside Primary School to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in their SEND resource base. The position is starting ASAP and runs until the end of the academic year.

You will provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with complex SEND needs, working closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver personalised learning strategies and to support academic, social, and emotional development in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly those with complex needs.
• 1:1 support experience and ability to work in a team.
• Patience, resilience, and compassionate approach.
• Qualified Teaching Assistant or equivalent school-based experience.

Teaching Assistant - SEND Resource Base (Tameside Primary School)

Contract: Full-time, until July

Pay: £95 per day (PAYE)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a supportive Primary School in Tameside to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time role within their SEND resource base. This position involves supporting pupils in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with complex learning needs.

You will play a key role in providing 1:1 support, helping to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils can engage with learning and make meaningful progress. This role is available immediately and will run until the end of the academic year.

The Role

• Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or has equivalent school-based experience
