Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistants Needed - September Start

SEN School & Alternative Provision in Portsmouth!

Academics is seeking experienced Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistants to join a Special School and Alternative Provision in Portsmouth. The school caters to young people across KS3 - KS4 with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), developmental needs, and/or medical needs.

We are looking for strong, empathetic Teaching Assistants who are available to join from September 2025 on full-time, ongoing contracts. There is potential for a permanent position for interested candidates.

Applicants should be Team Teach trained or have equivalent training such as PRICE. Due to working with young people with challenging behaviors, having completed such training or willingness to undertake it is essential.

Your role will involve supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. This position is suitable for individuals with experience working with children with challenging behaviors in an SEN/SEMH school setting.
