Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 3:30pm
A specialist SEMH setting for students are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their friendly department in Gloucester. The perfect Teaching Assistant will be passionate and enthusiastic and be able to build strong relationships with all the students. You will need to bring a positive energy to the classroom and encourage the students to learn independently. Any previous experience working with children and/or adults with SEN OR SEMH would be beneficial. A relevant degree in psychology, criminology or health & social care or Level 3 Qualification would also be useful.
As a Teaching Assistant, your daily duties will involve both 1:1 and group-based work, supporting the students as they undertaken their chosen course of study. You will help clarify and explain instructions, ensuring all the students are motivated and engaged during lessons. You will also help make the school a fun and exciting place to be and learn.
