Job summary

Academics is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a SEMH specialist setting in Gloucester. Start ASAP with a daily pay rate of £85–£110. The role involves 1:1 and group-based support, helping students engage with their chosen courses.

Ideal candidates will have experience with SEN/SEMH and a relevant degree (psychology, criminology, health & social care) or Level 3 qualification. A positive energy and the ability to build strong relationships with students are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or adults with SEN/SEMH is beneficial.
• Relevant degree in psychology, criminology or health & social care, or Level 3 Qualification would be useful.

Responsibilities

• As a Teaching Assistant, you will support 1:1 and small groups to help students pursue their course of study.
• You will clarify and explain instructions, keeping students motivated and engaged during lessons.
• You will help create a positive, fun learning environment and build strong relationships with students.
