Job summary

Polaris Education - The Olive Frances School, Banbury, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support one pupil or small groups within a nurturing environment.

You will assist the class teacher during lessons, monitor progress, report concerns, supervise during non-class times and help with planning, preparation and marking.

Salary is £21,257.48–£23,232.69, with a company pension, life assurance and an employee discount scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in an educational setting.
• Experience working with SEMH pupils.
• GCSE English & Maths (C or above).
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check.
• Must drive and have own transport.
• Commitment to professional development.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support one pupil or small group (≤6).
• Support the class teacher during lessons.
• Report on pupil progress and concerns to staff.
• Supervise pupils during non-class time and trips.
• Assist with lesson planning and preparation.
• Set work and mark assignments.
• Build positive relationships to promote learning.
