Job summary

St Anthony’s School in Chichester invites applications for Teaching Assistants to support pupils with complex needs in the Secondary Department. You will work in classrooms, small groups and individually, alongside staff to facilitate learning and inclusion.

Experience or interest in autism is desirable; we value a proactive, patient approach, good organisation and strong communication. The post is term-time only with INSET, 30 hours per week.

Currently the school is one of the lead schools in ‘Novio’ which is part of the West Sussex SEN hub initiative supporting pupils with SEND in mainstream education.

Salary: Grade 4, £25,583.00 (full time), pro rata

Actual Salary: £17,871.00

Contract Type: Term time only + one week INSET

Working Pattern: 30 hours per week

Location: Chichester

Closing date: Friday 4th September 2026 at 12 noon

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistants to support students’ learning. The Teaching Assistant will work alongside staff in the Secondary Department to support pupils with complex needs in the classroom, in small groups and on an individual basis.

An interest and/or experience in working with Autism would be desirable. They will also undertake a range of administrative tasks that support the teaching and learning within the school.

In their application, candidates should indicate their areas of curriculum interest.
