Qualifications

Job description

ABC Teachers are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis conducting 1:1 support to children in KS1. The school requires an experienced Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification who works well with children with ADHD. The school is based in Rugby

This position will commence with immediate effect and run for the remainder of the academic year

About the role
  • Working on a 1:1 basis with a number of children
  • Supporting students with a diagnosis of ADHD and associated communication and behavioural needs.
  • Use a child-centred approach to provide the best support for student s learning and development.
  • This Teaching Assistant role is a full-time, long-term role.
  • Be able and comfortable with the personal care side of the role.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Qualified Teaching Assistant - Rugby - Primary you will:

  • • Have previous experience working with primary-aged children and students with a range of special educational needs.
  • • Suitable qualifications to work with young people and support students with SEND, this is highly desirable.
  • • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • • Be able to work as part of a team and be confident dealing with occasional behavioural challenges
  • • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • A Teaching Assistant qualification
