Job summary

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant for a small mainstream school in Swindon to support a Year 2 pupil with Autism and MLD in a 1:1 role. The appointment is full-time, term-time only, starting September with potential for a permanent position.

The successful candidate will have SEN/SEND experience in a primary setting and an Enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to obtain one, plus a commitment to safeguarding and high standards of pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with Autism/MLD.
• Support classroom activities and SEN strategies under teacher guidance.
• Maintain pupil safeguarding and welfare in line with school policy.

Job description

Primary Teaching Assistant TA A lovely, small mainstream primary school in Swindon is looking for a specialist TA to provide 1:1 pupil with additional needs SEN/ SEND. This role is ideally to start in September until the summer 2027, but could potentially lead to a permanent position in another role within the school. The pupil in question is in Year 2 and has Autism, with secondary MLD. The school is looking for someone who has SEND experience in a primary setting, either mainstream or specialist. Please note that for this role, you will need to have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be able to get one. This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday during term time only. INDSW

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
